We are excited to announce a major update to WP Social SEO Pro. Version 4 adds more structured data in the form of Rich Snippets for articles and news articles. Also Google breadcrumbs and Google Knowledge Graph have been implemented.
With the additional Rich Snippet types articles and news articles can now be marked up with structured data, providing information such as the headline, images, publish date and description. Google may use your rich snippet markup in features like “In the news” and content carousels.
Google’s Knowledge Graph is used by Google to help improve its search relevancy and also to present Knowledge Graph boxes. Breadcrumbs will allow you to leave trails on a page to indicate its position in the site. A user can then navigate the site hierarchy, one level at a time, by starting from the last breadcrumb in the breadcrumb trail. Example:
